One such opportunity cropped up last week, to attend a launch event for the new Harvey Weinstein Musical, Finding Neverland. As a fan of the film (who doesn’t love a Peter Pan story?) I was already excited, but add to that Gary Barlow, who has written the music and was performing a few of his songs, plus the fact he was being interviewed by Bryan Cranston (Walt from Breaking Bad) who is on board as a producer of the show, then needless to say I was quite excited!! ================== kiddieclaws @kiddieclaws 2m2 minutes ago Finding Neverland London Launch Night with Gary Barlow | SuperBreak Blog: blog.superbreak.com/theatre-breaks-2/finding-neverland-london-launch-night/#.VPd5BYFDZvl.twitter … via @superbreak ===Finding Neverland Notes: ======Broadway headliner and GLEE notable Matthew Morrison is set to headline upcoming Broadway musical Finding Neverland alongside multi-award-winning stage and screen star Kelsey Grammer and a new look at the cast in rehearsal alongside Grammer is now available to view. =Gary Barlow TTG digital Article: ====With final rehearsals under way and an album - featuring Rita Ora, Jon Bon Jovi and Paloma Faith, among others - ready to be released, Barlow admits he’s incredibly excited, if a little anxious, about the opening: “I think I will be nervous, but I’m also confident we have something really good.” And he’s committed to the project for the long term, banking on success in New York to drive the musical elsewhere: “I always want to be there for casting and to make sure the right people are performing the right parts,” he says. Having spent a large chunk of time in New York working with the vocalists, Barlow admits a deep love for the United States and the Big Apple - particularly in regard to its culinary offering. “Of all the places I’ve ever travelled to, New York has the best food in the world. “You can be extremely ‘bad’ and have amazing food - burgers and so on - and then also be really healthy because there are juice bars on every corner. The pizzas are definitely the best in the world,” he adds. === Mirela GBArmy @fly_High_GB 2m2 minutes ago Interview: Gary Barlow on Broadway, US road trips and using an agent | Features | Travel Trade Gazette www.ttgdigital.com/news/interview-gary-barlow-on-broadway-us-road-trips-and-using-an-agent/4695400.article … ==Interview: Gary Barlow on Broadway, US road trips and using an agent | Features | Travel Trade Gazette www.ttgdigital.com/news/interview-gary-barlow-on-broadway-us-road-trips-and-using-an-===Gary Barlow mention: =====NORMA❤GB ╪ TTIII⚓ @normsi2 Feb 27 Dawn looks beautiful & so proud of you @garybarlow #SpecialCouple pic.twitter.com/8ZtHkv7XdX ====Take That III: Brit Awardfs: ======BRIT Awards @britawards 19h19 hours ago Download @takethat's performance of 'Let In The Sun' live at #BRITs2015 for free! @googleplay goo.gl/Zp13Pm pic.twitter.com/clK1Rmpizy Gary Barlow : Magazine Cover: ===TTG @ttg_digital 18h18 hours ago Morning! Commissioned by global record label, Universal Music, the brief was to bring life to the sun alongside a performance. Found filmed the band performing in a vast, black space, with the literal and metaphorical world lighting up around them as the song progressed. The realistic portrayal of the sun was achieved by shining a 1,000-kilowatt lights through a white silk layer. Found Studio used incredible close ups using macro lenses at 200 frames per second to capture the abstract character of the sun, and combined with a little post production were able to create a truly authentic look. Mike Sharpe, Partner and Creative Director, at Found Studio commented: "We were honoured to work with one of Britain’s most iconic bands to create the video for Let In The Sun. Focusing on the core theme of the track, and the immense power of the sun, we created a striking band performance that sees the guys in a 360º room illuminated by a thin strip of light. Throughout the course of the video the walls of the room slowly raise up to let in more and more light until they are bathed in brilliant beaming sunlight. Shot against a section of strip light, the set was extended by our talented VFX team to create the light effect all around the guys. All the elements of the sun were shot on a second day using various different practical elements and some lovely macro lenses." === TT Ultimate Forum @ttultimateforum 28m28 minutes ago Found Studio Summons the Sun for Take That's New Music Video lbbonline.com/news/found-studio-summons-the-sun-for-take-thats-new-music-video/ … =Take That mention: =====Robbie & Gary News! @robbieandgary 17h17 hours ago Today in 2007 Take That scored their 10th number ONE with Shine! - @garybarlow @officialmarko @howarddonald pic.twitter.com/NIOn97TzH8

It’s the best part.” One other thing they will have to consider this time around, is what they’ll do with the extra stage space. Jason Orange decided to call it a day last September. The news came a few months after Robbie Williams announced that he wouldn’t be returning to the fold as he had done for their previous album, Progress, and resulting tour – although he did hint he might return again in the future. While the remaining three say Orange’s departure was a “huge loss”, they say no concessions will be made, and fans will still get the show they always would’ve done. For full gig listings check out our events calendar “It’s not a time to scale things back,” says Barlow. “Absolutely not. Take That is a brand and people expect a big production extravaganza when they come to see us, and that’s what they’re going to get.” The shows are part of a big year for Take That, who teamed up with film director Matthew Vaughn with a lead song on the soundtrack of recent spy caper Kingsman: The Secret Service. Gary, Mark and Howard all consider themselves privileged to be involved in such exciting projects. They saw the film in its rough state last May, when director Matthew Vaughn asked them, as he previously did with his other films Stardust and X-Men: First Class, if they’d like to offer a song for the soundtrack. The band agreed; their song Get Ready For It plays over Kingsman’s closing credits. “What we got from watching it was that the film was very beautifully shot, expensive looking and very dramatic, so we needed a dramatic, headline statement of a track,” says Barlow, 44. “We came up with Get Ready For It almost straight away.” For Owen, a bit of a film buff, appearing on a film soundtrack was something of a dream come true. “I love soundtracks,” says the 43-year-old, before reeling off a list of his favourites, including Cinema Paradiso, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and last year’s The Fault In Our Stars. Barlow looks incredulous at this. “There’s only one choice for best film soundtrack, isn’t there?” he says, leaving the other two waiting for his answer. “It’s Star Wars, hands down.” === MrGaryOBE @mrgaryobe 21m21 minutes ago 'Interview: Take That' @garybarlow: 'It’s not a time to scale things back. And yet in the crazy, out-sized, hyperbolic world of Britain’s most successful boy band since The Beatles, playing such venues is precisely that. The band’s arena tour begins in April. Compared to their recent stadium gigs, which included, among other things, a 60ft-tall moving robot called Om, circus performers, and a giant wall of water which the band and a team of acrobats abseiled down, this tour of UK arenas is relatively small. Although they all laugh at the thought of playing to around 10,000 people each night being called ‘intimate’ or ‘small’ – planning is no less challenging, they say. ========== Marcella #TTlll @marcelprincess 7h7 hours ago Barnet, London Interview: Take That: nativemonster.com/music/interview-take-that#.VPmLi1O2b2s.twitter … @garybarlow Can't wait! Gary Barlow Calendar Girls: =======Composer Gary Barlow and lyricist and Tim Firth, who is writer of the show Calendar Girls, have been working on a musical version of the stage show.====== ======Firth said the new musical show will be very different: “It would need to be about the town, the women and the husbands. The first workshop for this will be in a church hall, and then we’ll see what will happen to it.”. Firth said he and Barlow knew each other as teenagers and had already written over 50 songs ‘for women of a certain age’, with about 25% being used. ======================= TTM @takethatmaniacs 52m52 minutes ago @garybarlow and Tim firth girls calendar musical ? k x overtures.org.uk/?p=4962 fb.me/6s9ld2nM5=========Gary Barlow Calendar Girls: pt.2 ===============Robbie & Gary News! @robbieandgary 9h9 hours ago @garybarlow and Tim Firth are working on the Calendar Girls musical! Read below pic.twitter.com/wALehJViAS =======Gary Barlow Calendar Girls: pt.3 ==========Pop legend Gary Barlow and writer Tim Firth have been collaborating on a musical about the Yorkshire women behind the famous nude Women’s Institute calendar for four years. And it’s finally about to be unveiled. Well, partially. The pair, both of whom attended Frodsham High School in Cheshire, played me three of the numbers they’ve written for The Girls, a reinterpretation of the film and stage show Calendar Girls, both written by Firth. The initial idea had been to write big witty numbers for (as Firth put it) ‘women of a certain age’. Later, they realised that a re-set of Calendar Girls would be the ideal platform for these songs. ======Firth would give Barlow fragments of an idea, or a bit of lyric or a title, and tell him to ‘just write what’s in your heart’. The result is some of the most heartfelt — and funny — songs I’ve heard in a long time. Firth says it’s a show about life in a small town — ‘a village green that spoke to the world’. Appropriately, a workshop of The Girls is being performed at a village hall in the Yorkshire Dales later this month, with Debbie Chazen, Sally Dexter, Michelle Dotrice, Rachel Lumberg, Claire Moore, Joanna Riding and Harriet Thorpe. I didn’t like to lower the tone, but I did ask if the ladies would be keeping their clothes on for the workshop. Producer David Pugh responded: ‘If it had been August, they’d have been out there! But it’s a mini-concert format, so the clothes are staying on.’ ============"Firth would give Barlow fragments of an idea, or a bit of lyric or a title, and tell him to ..." dailym.ai/1AMzSqR via @dailymailceleb== Great Random: Thattereen: ====Jan Berrington @janberrington Mar 3 @howarddonald Hello HD Thattereen is back in aid of KIND, celebrating your 25th Anniversary pic.twitter.com/2I6ZjasKLb ***************Saturday's News and Notes: *********************************************************** ==Reminder:===Take That III: Saturday Night Takeaway tonight with Little Ant & Dec at 7pm on ITV ====Megs @youngthatter 2h2 hours ago Don't forget to watch @garybarlow @officialmarko @howarddonald on Saturday Night Takeaway tonight with Little Ant & Dec at 7pm on ITV twitter.com/YoungThatter== TTM @takethatmaniacs 2m2 minutes agoITV 7:00pm (UK time) don't miss the boys on Ant and Dec's Saturday night Takeaway ! @garybarlow@OfficialMarkO @howarddonald k x =https://twitter.com/TakeThatManiacs =Gary Barlow mention: Finding Neverland ==Written by U.K. pop star Gary Barlow and Grammy winner Eliot Kennedy, the score carries a modern twist within its prim and proper 1900s setting. Despite the stuffy time period, Morrison returns to letting loose in the dance department thanks to choreographer Mia Michaels (“So You Think You Can Dance”). “We were kind of going back and forth because it’s one of those shows where [we asked], ‘Is it right for him to dance?’ It’s early 1900s, everyone’s so kind of…” He sits up straighter for emphasis before relaxing again. “I’m a dancer first and foremost—the last couple shows I’ve done, I haven’t really been able to do that. We all felt it’d be stupid [for me] not to use that muscle, so now I’m dancing…a lot!” So much so that water breaks are being incorporated into the onstage action, since Morrison almost never leaves the audience’s sight. He calls the March 16 start of previews a “little scary,” but adds that he’ll be rigorous in his preparation, continuing to stay hours after the rest of the cast to perfect his performance. And after his last flight to L.A. for the series finale of “Glee,” he’ll have even more time for “Finding Neverland.” ====Finding Neverland @neverlandbway 19h19 hours ago "To be doing this show about...our imagination—it’s wonderful.” @matt_Morrison talks#FindingNeverland w/ @backstage. bit.ly/1G6Qhek==========Matthew Morrison Returns to the ‘Neverland’ of BroadwayM bit.ly/18PdwzA via @backstage

The 'These Days' trio took to the stage at London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire for a show in aid of War Child, which saw them perform a fan-voted setlist which spanned all three decades of their career and even visited their solo careers. The show opened with 2008 single 'Greatest Day', with the packed-out crowd singing along to every word, much to the delight of the band. Mark Owen said: ''It's a real pleasure to be invited to play here tonight. We haven't played for a while, so it's nice to perform in front of a crowd.'' The stripped-back show - their first full concert without Jason Orange - saw the threesome appear casual and relaxed, joking easily with one another as they made their way through hits including 'Shine', 'Back For Good' and 'Patience'. Gary Barlow then peered into the audience and asked, ''I'm looking out there to see if there's anyone who can remember the Nineties'' with a saxophonist joining them on 1992 single 'A Million Love Songs'. Mark and Howard Donald then exited the stage to allow Gary to sing two of his solo tracks, 'Forever Love', which he performed seated at a grand piano, and the more up-tempo 'Let Me Go', after which his bandmates presented him with a glass of red wine and he declared, ''I think I'm in the mood for a bit of dancing'' - but not before bending to tie his shoelaces. Howard and Mark also got their chance to take a solo turn, with the latter quipping: ''It feels like we're auditioning for you'' as he shouldered a guitar to sing 'Four Minute Warning'. The 80-minute set closed with 'Never Forget' and the group urging their loyal fans - many of whom had camped overnight to secure a good spot in front of the stage - to see them on their forthcoming tour. Gary said: ''Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us. We can't wait to start our tour - please come along.'' As well as their dedicated fans, a host of famous faces also turned out for the show, including Luke Evans, 'Breaking Bad' star RJ Mitte, Laura Whitmore and Leah Weller. Take That - who were supported by Ella Henderson - join an illustrious list of acts who have previously played War Child and O2's show, including Coldplay, Muse, Ed Sheeran, Blur, The Killers, Calvin Harris and Mark Ronson. The show raised funds for children affected by an unprecedented year of violence in war zones including Iraq, Syria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Uganda and Central African Republic. ======TTOnTour2014╪ @ttontour2014 Mar 4 "@gbsolo_Mary: Take That's intimate show www.contactmusic.com/take-that/news/take-that-s-intimate-show_4605977?track=mail_news … via @contactmusic @garybarlow #warchild #TTIII pic.twitter.com/JC0JPpclF1" =Gary Barlow Finding Neverland /Calendar Girls (Repost) =According to the Daily Mail, Gary Barlow and Tim Firth's musical reworking of the film and stage play CALENDAR GIRLS is getting a workshop in the Yorkshire Dales later this month. Appearing in the workshop are Debbie Chazen, Sally Dexter, Michelle Dotrice, Rachel Lumberg, Claire Moore, Joanna Riding and Harriet Thorpe. Firth wrote the screenplay for the 2003 film, directed by Nigel Cole, which is based on a true story of a group of Yorkshire women who created a nude calendar to raise money for Leukemia research in 1999. CALENDAR GIRLS was originally adapted for the stage in 2008 and ran at Chichester before transferring to the West End. Barlow, whose FINDING NEVERLAND opens on Broadway this spring, also wrote two songs for the NEW YORK SPRING SPECTACULAR at Radio City Music Hall and is composing the music for the upcoming Eddie The Eagle movie, starring Hugh Jackman. Not only that, but Barlow's TAKE THAT arena tour launches in Glasgow this spring, and the composer/lyricist is developing a musical version of AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS with Eliot Kennedy and Harvey Weinstein. == = BroadwayWorld UK @broadwayworlduk Mar 5 Barlow & Firth's CALENDAR GIRLS Musical Gets Workshop This Month... www.broadwayworld.com/article/Barlow-Firths-CALENDAR-GIRLS-Musical-Gets-Workshop-This-Month-20150305 …
