British pop star Gary Barlow is stranded in the Solomon Islands as the region braces itself for a cyclone.
The Take That star is currently touring the world looking for inspiration for his collaboration with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber to mark Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, and his trip around the Commonwealth states has taken him to the Solomon Islands, east of Papua New Guinea.
However, Barlow and his crew are stranded on a remote island as weather reports predict tropical storms will hit the region over the next few days.

--------London jubilee concert to be beamed live into Carlisle city centre Last updated at 15:23, Thursday, 05 April 2012 A jubilee concert featuring Kylie Minogue, Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Jessie J, Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones will be shown in Carlisle city centre – beamed live via giant TV screens.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert on Monday, June 4 will be staged at Buckingham Palace and also features the likes of Ed Sheeran, Jools Holland, JLS, Annie Lennox, Madness, Cliff Richard and Stevie Wonder. It has been organised by Gary Barlow, star of Take That and The X Factor. The live feed into Carlisle city centre will be the culmination of a full day’s programme of entertainment which also celebrates the first day of the inaugural Carlisle Music City festival.
